Once the background check comes back good, you will receive a call or email that will set your first day of work.CAE’s Collaborative Networking Services has hosted a large pool of search committees ranging from CIO, to Chief of Police, to new faculty. After you formally accept the job offer, you will undergo a background check that could take up to a week or two to complete.
Once the interview is over, the search committee chooses their final candidate who is offered the job over the phone within a week or two. I would recommend asking something to the extent of "what does a normal day look like in the job?" and this is a great time to ask about available benefits and probationary period, etc. They will ask you set questions and then offer you time at the end to ask any questions. You'll be given a parking pass for a day if you can make the interview in person. The interview will either be in person or via Zoom in a group setting. If you are in the top 3 thru 10, you will receive a call to set up an interview. Once you submit your resume, you will be ranked according to internal metrics set by a search committee.
